Happy Holidays!

We have been busy and super excited about the holidays!

I was able to complete assessments to monitor progress and get information that will help me tweak lessons for the new year if necessary. The kiddos had no idea I was doing assessments :o) we played games such as knock-knock, what’s missing, and far-far away. The games help me engage the kids and determine if they have mastered the concepts or are still developing. The assessments also help me determine if I need to re-present lessons or if lessons need to be modified. I am happy to say, all my kiddos are doing amazing! I am so very proud of them! Can’t wait to share more information about your kiddos during parent/teacher conferences in January!

For the past few days, we learned about different holidays around the world including our very favorite Christmas! We learned about Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Three Kings day. We also learned about posadas and parrandas! We engaged in theme-related activities, listened to many holiday stories, and sang songs (Feliz Navidad :o)

Our little holiday celebration was great! Thank you so much for bringing the pajamas early (so helpful!) They kids were surprised when I called them one at a time to put their pjs on :o) Our day was super-busy but so much fun!!!

We were able to squeeze in a birthday celebration :o)

Happy 6th birthday Ani! Thank you for sharing your special day with us!

(and Thank you for the yummy fruit cups... delicious!)

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and an amazing new year!
