Happy Earth Day!

• Celebrated Earth Day

• Learned about reducing, reusing and recycling

• Went on a virtual fieldtrip to a recycling center

• Went on a virtual fieldtrip to see a landfill

• Learned about air and water pollution

• Discussed ways we can help take care of our world

• We received a special delivery containing live caterpillars for our new observation station

• We listened to the story " I am Earth" to review concepts of recycling/trash and pollution

• We made independent activity choices

• We played cooperatively

• We received lessons

• We were ever-so tired :0) Kiddos are falling asleep before we even begin our work cycle, feeling a little irritable. I have to keep them moving! Activities and lessons will be changed and modified in order to meet their needs. There is no point in presenting whole group lessons if they are so tired that they will not gain anything from it. I rather have them choose activities to practice previously learned concepted in order to gain mastery.
